Inside Track

In 2025, we launched a running club in HMP Brixton called 'Inside Track'. The club is designed to improve the physical health, mental wellbeing and social rehabilitation of men currently in custody through the power of exercise, mentorship and teamwork.

Reoffending remains one of the biggest challenges facing the UK justice system and many leave with poor mental health and low confidence.

Physical activity is proven to reduce stress, anxiety and aggression. Bringing together prisoners in HMP Brixton has already proven to build a strong sense of community in the prison; it has become an incredibly popular group and the staff of the prison are noticing the impact it is having on prisoners involved.

We’d love to grow the Inside Track team. If you’re interested in becoming part of our work in HMP Brixton, then please get in touch with Darren.

We’d love to grow this project and already have interest in starting a second running club in HMP Wandsworth.

By building confidence, connection, and purpose, we ultimately hope to support successful reintegration and help reduce reoffending.
